Elizabeth Ann Sugden

Elizabeth Ann Sugden is the daughter of James (or Joshua) Sugden and Elizabeth Ann Mathews. She was born on 4 Feb 1850 in London. She was married to Joseph Samuel Adams on 9 May 1881. Together they had at least 7 children:

"Elizabeth Anne Sugden Adams, 82, widow of Joseph Adams,. Died Thursday afternoon at the. home of herdaughter, Mrs. Bruce Charlesworth, 304 Thirty-fifth.street, following, years of sickness. She was bornFebruary 4, 1850, in London, England, daughter of James and Elizabeth Matthew Sugden. In 9 May 1881 shemarried Joseph Adams(second wife)and in 1886 came to Utah as an L. D. S. Convert, making their home in Ogden, where she had resided ever since. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs,Bruce Charlesworth; one son, Ernest D. Adams; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Orseri Winters, Sage, Wyo.; two brothers, Frank Sugden, Salt Lake City, and Joshua Sugden, Billings, Mont. Services for Mrs, Adams will be held at two o'clock Sunday in the Malan funeral home, with Bishop Horace E. Garner officiating. Thebody may be viewed at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bruce Charlesworth, 204 Thirty-fifth street Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday until one o'clock. interment will be made in the Ogden City Cemetery."
