Lee is the son of Taylor T. Thornton and Harriet Sheridan. He was born on 2 Oct 1904 in Kossuth county, Iowa. On 19 August 1954, he was married to Ethel Birdie Davis in Reno, Lyon, Nevada. He died on 6 November 1986.
